Hole 1 is a breeze
Just put the ball on a tee
Hit a drive out straight
On the green in two is all it takes
Hole 2 is a dog with a sharp left
One long T-shot would be a good bet
Loft your ball with your hybrid avoiding the trap
Because in front of you lies all the crap
Hole 3 is grueling yard after yard
Without your fairway woods, it is hard
Topping the ball prior to the bend
You could find yourself logging a 10
Hole 4 one would say is narrow
No carts allowed because they will roll like a barrel
We all wish you a bundle of luck
If your second shot lands in the guck
Hole 5 has a significant incline
Excellent for firming up our behinds
With a vision ahead of the flag at the summit
Avoid a slice to the left or into the lake you will plummet
Hole 6 is short
With Mr. Woodchuck holding court
We all wish for par in three
But impossible if you ricochet off a tree
Hole 7 provides you a valley
So a short tee shot will increase your tally
A miss hit iron does not improve your lay
As you view in the distance the green fairway
Hole 8 is a decline
If you hit your tee shot in line
A proper second hit as you lie on the knoll
Will guarantee to the green you will roll
Hole 9 we end up playing the links
As our score is close to (or over?) the brink
We decide not to play the back nine
Because it’s time to drink, whine and dine!
